Wolfe Eye Clinic, Now Open in Carroll Iowa

Wolfe Eye Clinic is thrilled to share the exciting news that St. Anthony’s Eye Clinic in Carroll, Iowa, has joined the Wolfe Eye Clinic family. Effective in August of 2021, the addition of Carroll becomes our twelfth main office location allowing us to further pave the way of providing medical and surgical eyecare across Iowa.

In May of 1996, St Anthony’s Eye Clinic opened with the leadership of Lou Ann Kiessling, MD who became the first ophthalmologist on staff. Now twenty-five years later, Dr. Lou Ann Kiessling and St. Anthony’s Eye Clinic has joined the Wolfe Eye Clinic family and will continue offering medical and surgical eyecare services for the community of Carroll and surrounding areas. We are excited to welcome Dr. Kiessling and her staff at Wolfe Eye Clinic in Carroll, Iowa!

Dr. Kiessling is a board-certified ophthalmologist  specializing in cataract surgery and treating a number of ocular diseases and disorders. Along with Dr. Kiessling, her long-term staff will continue working alongside her providing exceptional care for our patients at the clinic. Dr. Kiessling and staff look forward to continuing care to their current patients along with the added benefit and resources that Wolfe Eye Clinic can provide.

“We will continue to co-manage patients’ general eye care with local optometrists,” said Dr. Kiessling. “And now we will also have other subspecialty services to offer our patients, close to home.”

Lou Ann Kiessling, MD obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan followed by her Doctor of Medicine degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. After completing a pre-residency fellowship in Ocular Pathology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland she went on and completed her ophthalmology residency at Wayne State in Detroit, Michigan.

Wolfe Eye Clinic will continue use of the current ophthalmology location within St. Anthony Regional Hospital on the second floor, south corridor. Hours of operation will be from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
