DR. BENJAMIN L. MASON – CEDAR FALLS AND WATERLOO GLAUCOMA, LASIK AND CATARACT SPECIALIST

Benjamin L. Mason, M.D. is a board-certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmologist. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. After earning his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, he completed an ophthalmology residency and a glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Dr. Mason’s professional eye care affiliations include the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

While in medical school, Dr. Mason had the privilege of watching an ophthalmologist perform cataract surgery in a small-town Iowa hospital. He was fascinated by the experience and chose to pursue ophthalmology as a result. Dr. Mason has been seeing patients with Wolfe Eye Clinic since 2006. He enjoys improving his patients’ vision and quality of life. Dr. Mason finds it particularly rewarding seeing his patients after cataract surgery and witnessing how happy they are with their improved vision.

Dr. Mason spends his time outside of work with family and friends. He enjoys staying active, participating in athletics and outdoor activities such as biking, basketball and skiing.
