DR. DOUGLAS R. CASADY - OCULOFACIAL PLASTIC & RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY SPECIALIST
Douglas Casady, M.D. came to Wolfe Eye Clinic in 2005 from his fellowship at the Lions Eye Institute, Albany Medical College in Slingerlands, New York. Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Casady completed his residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital, Texas A&M University College of Medicine in Temple, Texas, where he was Chief Resident 2002-2003. Dr. Casady completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He also holds a Master of Science degree from Creighton University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Dr. Casady participated in medical mission work in the Dominican Republic and spent three months on the faculty at the American University of the Caribbean, teaching anatomy while he was in medical school. During his fellowship, he received the Golden Apple teaching award from the residents at Albany Medical College.
Dr. Casady is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He sees patients in our Des Moines area and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the American Board of Ophthalmology, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
