Jake R. Haberman, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Following his coursework, Dr. Haberman completed multiple externships including time at Mountain Eyeworks in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and the James H. Quillen Veterans Administration Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. He earned his bachelor’s degree with a major in biology from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, where he was a student athlete in football.
Dr. Haberman provides both routine family eye care services, and the treatment and medical management of many eye diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. He has special interest in working with specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses and orthokeratology contact lenses. He also is certified to fit MiSight contact lenses for myopia control.
Dr. Haberman is originally from Clarion, and his wife, originally from Webster City, grew up as patients of the Wolfe Family Vision Center in Webster City. In fact, Dr. Haberman credits Dr. Jim Tesdahl and staff for being one of the reasons he went into the field of Optometry. In his free time, Dr. Haberman enjoys spending time with his family, biking, boating, and attending various sporting events.
