Peter Bracha, MD- Iowa Retina Specialist
Peter Bracha, MD is a board-certified, fellowship trained retina specialist whose focus includes the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and retinal tears or detachment. Dr. Bracha joined Wolfe Eye Clinic in 2022 and sees patients in our Ames, Fort Dodge, Pleasant Hill, Ottumwa and West Des Moines office locations.
Dr. Bracha is a native Iowan who grew up in Ames. Dr. Bracha graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri followed by a Doctorate of Medicine from the School of Medicine at the University of Creighton in Omaha, Nebraska. After an internship at the University of Creighton, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Indiana University, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Bracha enhanced his skills and training further by completing a Vitreoretinal Surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Bracha has published numerous articles about retinal disease and has given many scientific presentations and educational lectures to his peers. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two children and looks forward to serving his patients throughout Iowa.
