DR. VONDA J. CAPPER - BELMOND OPTOMETRIST

Vonda J. Capper, O.D. received her Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa Wesleyan University in Mount Pleasant, Iowa and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Capper joined Wolfe Eye Clinic in June of 2024 and provides comprehensive eye care to our patients in Belmond, Iowa. 

Dr. Capper spent nearly 30 years serving the Mason City community before joining Wolfe Eye Clinic after the retirement of Dr. David Gildner. Dr. Capper and Dr. Gildner have known each other for many years and could not be more excited to continue the well-known care and service the Belmond area has come to know. Dr. Capper provides routine family eye care services including eye exams, prescribing eyewear and contact lenses. She is skilled in the treatment and medical management of many ocular diseases including cataract, glaucoma, and retinal conditions. 
Being a native of Iowa and growing up in West Branch, Dr. Capper looks forward to continuing her career in the Belmond community by helping treat her patients’ vision problems and assisting them with the right specialty contact lenses.

Dr. Capper enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters along with their two dogs, Murphy and Zoey. You may find Dr. Capper outdoors jogging or golfing in her spare time or crafting something unique.
