Dr. Megan M. Petersen- Webster City and Clarion Optometrist

Megan M. Petersen, O.D. received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology and minor in chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where she also completed a residency in ocular disease. She completed multiple externships including time at Tate County Vision Center in Senatobia, Mississippi and at Wolfe Eye Clinic in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Dr. Petersen spent 11 years practicing in the Des Moines and Ames area before joining Wolfe Eye Clinic in 2022 to provide care to patients in our Webster City, Clarion and Sac City communities. She provides routine family eye care services including eye exams, prescribing eyewear and contact lenses. Dr. Petersen is skilled in the treatment and medical management of many ocular diseases including cataract, glaucoma, and retinal conditions. She enjoys helping her patients see better and being part of their journey to achieve the best vision possible.

Dr. Petersen and her husband are originally from Algona, Iowa and are enjoying the opportunity to return to NW Iowa with Wolfe Eye Clinic. She and her husband have three children. In their free time they enjoy being active outside, attending ISU and UNI sporting events, and spending time with friends and family.
